(( [randomness] I used to have a character who was called Gabriel. o: He was an elf. Lmao. [/randomness]
Sorry about the novel o___o;;; ))
Samael rested lazily in the shadow of a tree in the village of Mournshire. People passed him by. Few people. Less people than what he remembered last year. His conscience scolded him for just lying in there instead of going to work, but he growled at it to shut up. Besides, he wasn't getting all that many jobs lately, which was good because it increased his lifespan; but it was also bad, because it meant less money to buy silver bullets with. Silver bullets for these moments when monsters started springing up everywhere like there was no tomorrow. As it was usual, he was nearly broke.
The Slayer had only heard some news about some blue-eyed werewolf someplace to the south. Hey, but that place to the south of the forest was rather far away, and there was scarcely any people there; Samael could procrastinate by one day or two, and it wouldn't make a difference, would it? Even the Death Blade had his lazy days. Besides, he would do more damage by going too far from the village than he would help. If it really was a threat, the blue-eyed wolf would come to him... you just had to sit and wait.
But even though Sam was feeling really lazy today, there was still something that bothered him. His hand touched his throat unconsciously as he remembered that fight with that weird female werewolf that other day. How come I went down so easily? He growled in his mind, his eyes flashing with insane perfectionism, the great Samael Death Blade, defeated by a girl?! His mind ranted on and on, and all of a sudden, he decided what he was going to do:
He had told that young woman that he would see her near a cave that had a large rock by its entrance, but he hadn't said when, and he had been procrastinating over that too. Anyway, that wasn't what he was going to do. What he was going to do was to train. He was going to practice fighting until either his arms fell off or he became strong enough like to beat her.
And heck, he was going to need some ruthless training to get that much better and quick; because judging by how she dodged him, he was going slow; and by how she blocked him, he needed to become stronger. And he had to get better quickly, because judging by her role as the leader of some rebellion, only God knew how much longer she was going to live. Being the only one in history at anything had never been a good thing.
Samael grumbled something indecipherable. He stood up, stretching his back and yawning without even bothering to cover his mouth with a hand, he noticed the sun was starting to sink in the horizon. Bleh. He was going training none the less. Samael claimed he was not reckless, but today he probably wouldn't have been able to say so with a straight face.
For after all, the night was the time when the monster came out to play.
He walked among the people, and hurried past them as some unavoidably started to murmur and point when they saw him. Finally, he came into the forest, his dark brown eyes adjusting to the lack of light. Samael strode through the maze of trees, going farther from the city but staying within what he called the "safe enough zone." It felt nice to be alone for a while.
While he walked towards the clearing he often used as training area, he started rummaging his pockets, by no particular reason, just to see what he had. Let's see... there's some shot, ONE silver bullet, my gun, it has a normal one loaded. Hmm... a sprig of wolfbane, garlic, --the wolves and vampyres thought it smelled icky, and it was the only thing to stop the pain if you happened to be splashed by the vampyre's corrosive blood-- some oil, gunpowder, a small flint stone... man, that sounded dangerous. Um... and soap. Soap? Why soap? Now he remembered, that old lady had given him a bar of soap because she didn't have how to repay him for killing some vampire the other day. It had a strong perfume.
He stopped in the middle of the clearing, but the moment he took his hand from his pocket, an item he did not know he had, fell on the rocky floor and made a characteristic clicking noise. Samael bent down to pick up the nearly worthless coin... but the moment he did...
It was as if the entire forest floor started shaking. He held his ear close to the ground to listen. Footsteps! Several somethings were coming this way. They were running, as quietly as a herd of stampeding cows; most likely monsters pursuing something.
Monsters? But here?!
Samael leaped out of the way, swiftly hiding himself among the bushes. Gun in one hand, scythe in the other.

ooc- Excuse my shortness, the next will be MUCH better.
bic- Gabriel was running, once again, for his very life. He ran out of pure fear, and burst from the trees some few yards from Samael, unseeing of the gun in his hand. A moment later, the lycan burst out behind him and hit the newborn in the back, knocking him to the ground with it's jaw around the back of his throat. The other vampyre slowed to watch the kill, neither one of the attacks or the victim noticing Samael. That was their first mistake.
Oh, shit, Gabriel thought. I'm gonna die...There was nothing he could do, not with the lycan's teeth to the back of his throat and keeping him perfectly still.
"You should have known better than to run from Tucker," the other vampyre, a dark-haired female with glowing red eyes, hissed. "He always gets them."
"I don't care!" he shouted.
"Let's see if your sister squirms as much as you do when Tucker-" she began with a sneer, eyes flashing.
"You leave my sister out of this!" he shouted, and the pressure on his neck tightened. He could feel blood on his neck, though whether it was the lycan's or his he wasn't sure. Allie....he had to stay alive for Allie...Then he caught the scent of the human, the scent of silver and other metals...This man was armed.
The second vampyre caught it too, and she turned, eyes narrowed then widening with surprise, then alarm at the sight of this man, who held weapons ready.

Safe enough? Scratch that. Definitely NOT safe anymore.
Swift, and without hesitating, the Slayer pulled the trigger while the three went on with their little drama; his instincts forcing him to protect the man chased by the two monsters, unknowingly of that he was actually one of them.
BANG!
Headshot.
Samael smirked wickedly; it wasn't by anything he took pride on his shooting skills. That may have not been a silver bullet, but no werewolf survived with a hole through their head. His evil smile widened to show all his teeth as he noticed the wolf's blue eyes the moment its lifeless body slumped to the ground. He had said the wolf would come to him, but he hadn't expected it to do so this literally... Oops, but now he just remembered... he hadn't stopped to ask it if its name happened to be "April," or "Hanako." My bad.
Now with the vampire. damn, she had already drawn her twin blade weapons; Sam would have liked to take her out first, but... heck, he couldn't just stay there and let the wolf kill that man, could he? If only he would have known what Gabriel was... but so close to the village, it would have been a believable story if he happened to be an unfortunate human chased by these beasts.
The loud detonation didn't seem to have disoriented her; she was looking towards the same exact spot he was hiding in. Dammit. Must've been the soap... Samael put off the gun. No time to reload it. He clenched the scythe in both hands. As much as he hated going in close combat against a vampire... oh, well, but he had come here looking for a challenge, no? Yes. And he wasn't planning to stay crouched beneath that bush, which by the way, happened to be a spiny bush, and just observe as the vampiress looked at him with those widened red eyes of hers-- he lashed out, swinging his silver scythe in an horizontal manner, hoping to cut her in half.

Gabriel shuddered deeply as the lycan, a hole through it's half-transformed skull, collasped ontop of Gabriel, and the young vampyre heaved up, throwing the corpse off him as blood ran down his torso. The female vampyre was holding her weapons at an angle, and then a beat later, rushed Samael. Gabriel rose up, eyes wide with shock and fear.
"Look out!" he bellowed. The man has saved his ass, after all, Gabriel wasn't going to just stand there. But Samael was already defending, lashing out with his scythes. Agily, the she vampyre sidestepped them, a smirk on her face. Gabriel didn't even think; With the speed of his race, had hit her from behind and knocked her to the ground, unknowing this would condemn him to death in Samael's eyes.
"Traitor!" the female hissed through her fangs, having nearly fallen on one of her sabers. She threw him off and Gabriel rolled, hoping that he had given the human time to throw down a killing blow.
"You can't call me a traitor if I was never like you to begin with," Gabriel spat back, eyes blazing. He was bleeding from a large gash across the torso from earlier, and there was blood dripping from a slice above his right eye. I hope he kills her, he thought bitterly. The sooner she was dead the less people would be after him, and the more likely he would be able to survive and take back what was rightfully his. For one, his sister. Gabriel wanted to get Allie out before Tucker did something Gabriel couldn't fix.
Be okay...Gabriel put one hand to the charm around his throat, thankful that damned dog hadn't torn it away. If he had, Gabriel wouldn't find time to repair the chain, not with all this weird stuff going on. He had to stop Tucker.

"Look out!" What?! Woah! This man was crazy... he practically threw himself in the way of these spinning blades; apparently to push the she-vampyre to the ground or something. Hey! I had the situation under control! Samel's mind said moodily. These brown eyes flashed as the Slayer managed to stop the scythes just before they could behead Gabriel, losing all the energy he had built up in the two missed strikes with a painful stop.
Fool. The scythe was not a weapon of accuracy. What was he thinking? What the-- The moment he had him in front, the Hunter of the Supernatural noticed something about this man that was out of place. Fangs. The hell! Had he just saved a vampyre?!? Not forgetting about her, Samael slashed at the vampyress, a blade of silver cutting through her spine before she could even finish speaking and remember that she had been at the middle of a fight; but the other scythe remained high, like the tail of a scorpion.
She and the werewolf, such an unexperienced pair... if he would've known Gabriel was one of these monsters, Sam wouldn't have intervened at all. But no, he had saved him, and damn, he regretted it already! Lit with pure hatred, his eyes were now fixed on the newborn vampyre, knowing the female had been left out of combat for a while at least. But he didn't attack right away; his arms still ached from that moment when he had to abruptly stop the spin of death's wheel.
And his breathing was also a little heavy. Dammit. The image of Willow in his mind made him cling to that battle stance stubbornly. No, she would not win again. He just needed a second, a second, and he would be in shape like to fight these two monsters again. Meanwhile, with that scythe poised high, Death Blade seemed to dare that vampyre to come even an inch closer.

Gabriel didn't care if the man didn't realize what had happened, that the vampyress had been feinting, but he did care that the same man was now glaring at him with spinning scythes. Gabriel's eyes widened, and he backed away, trying not to look at all threatening. His eyes were a pale silver again, and it was hard to believe he was a vampyre at all. Breath coming in shallow, he kept his distance from the man.
Something told him he shouldn't speak, for that would only further this killer's rage. The she-vampyre lay dying on the ground, and Gabriel knew that would be him if this man wanted him to be. The newborn lowered his eyes to the ground, looking even more forlorn than usual. His straight, black hair was framing his pale, scarred face, and he raised a hand subconsciously to his heavily scratched face.
Tucker had almost fatally struck him, multiple times, around the arms and face, before blooding Gabriel Adams. Now, the wounds were just blackened scars, forever a reminder of his rebellious nature. What if he did that to Allie? Or worse, what if Talbot did? Gabriel shook himself and returned his thoughts to the peril at hand. This stranger, who had saved Gabriel a beat before, was going to try to kill him. Without thinking, Gabriel spoke.
"Thank you," he murmured, keeping his eyes downcast. "Thank you for saving my life." He owed him. If the man didn't kill him out of hand for being a vampyre, Gabriel planned to return the favor, although he didn't see what use he would be to this being; Obviously, Samael could handle himself.

Gabriel spoke again, and yes, those were vampyre fangs, indeed.
"Don't thank me, vampyre. It was a mistake." A misunderstanding. You're a monster not worth saving, but still I can't get to fully regret my decision. After all, these two would have been more difficult to kill otherwise. Having regained his breath, Samael clenched the weapon tightly, ready to attack at any second. But the scythes felt heavy, reluctant to kill a monster with some humanity left inside.
You fool! Why you hesitate? Can't you see he is one of THEM? He might look human NOW, but later he will give in to the thirst for blood. He is no different. That Willow girl seemed to be the only exception to all the rules; but even her, she could not be trusted, she was still a lycan to his eyes. And she would continue being one forever. All that had probably been just a lie; a damn good lie, but still a lie. He would see her at that cave as they agreed, but this time her little act will have something wrong with it, and he would be there to see her slip.
Vampires were still ten times worse than werewolves. In the desperate situation he and his race found themselves in, he could go as far as to tolerate a were-beast, but a vampire? The hell! Unconsciously, Death Blade had sidestepped so he would be standing between the village and Gabriel. The chains restraining that beast were finally starting to break. They're all the same, don't be a fool. Don't believe in their lies, Samael. Hateful thoughts fueled a fury that exploded like all the volatile ingredients he was carrying on his pockets, combined.
Samael charged, scythe in both hands, wanting to separate Gabriel's head from his shoulders.

ooc- Mkay. Man, we gotta get some more rp genres going other than 'You die, evil being.'
bic- Gabriel just shrugged in response to his retort, then blanched as Samael rushed him. Without hesitation, Gabriel ducked out of the way. He wasn't like the others, he was only aiming to survive. The vampyre wasn't going to fight back, but he wasn't going to block him either. He was just going to continue to dodge until Samael wore down enough that he could escape.
The wind pressed against him, blowing his hair and tattered, blood-stained cloak around him, but he couldn't feel the cold. That was beyond him.
You stupid child, a voice scolded. You can't even save yourself! Can you really take on Tucker?
"I'll kill him," Gabriel whispered, watching Samael whirl about to resume his attack. "Tucker is mine."
As a newborn vampyre, Gabriel knew he was quite capable of destroying Samael, but that was his nature. If he could manage, he would escape, and go into hiding. This man meant to kill Gabriel, he knew that much, but....No. Gabriel dropped low to the ground, dodging the attack and dropping back. He wished he'd joined Talbot in his training, instead of staying up in his room studying. Ugh.
In a crucial moment, the vampyre lunged at his adversary, hoping to catch him around the middle and knock him to the ground. He knew he was faster than Samael, but was he stronger?

(( Definitely. Though you will have to teach me, because as I said before, in two years I haven't RP'ed anything else 8D Lmao. ))
Samael was really starting to feel the weight of the scythe now. But he wouldn't quit. He couldn't quit. He could not just leave that newborn vampyre running around until he lost whatever humanity remained in him and became a threat, something that Sam presumed was only a matter of time before it happened. The vampire hunter cursed under his heavy breath as the silver blade missed him one more time; each missed blow took out one large chunk of his stamina. He had to calm down and focus-- something that wasn't easy to do when you were in the brink of going berserk, slowly succumbing to insanity!
He had come here looking for a challenge, and that what he got. It seemed as if it was more than what he could handle, but as they say, the school of hard knocks was an accelerated curriculum. What did not kill you made you stronger. Samael wouldn't give in, and that lycan would see; next time they met, he'd be in a whole different league.
But he faced a rather formidable opponent. The undead were unbelievable. After running from these two by only god knows how long, after having lost so much blood, the vampyre was still a good deal faster and stronger than Samael could ever hope to be. Gabriel was now a creature from another world, a being against which the human race plain simply could not compete. Never the less, Samael tried.
He attempted to sidestep, but the blood-sucking revenant's kick caught him in the side of the chest. He was knocked back, almost falling on the scythe but ultimately managing to use it to regain his balance. His feet finding support in the unleveled floor, Samael charged right back into the fight; but a sharp pain reminded him of that his maneuver had been far from perfect, his own weapon had made a long gash on his upper-arm.
The pain would be felt later, however. Not wanting to repeat his mistakes in the battle with Willow, Samael did not attempt any more elaborate combos that would only wear him down while the vampyre dodged, and tried instead to land a solid but quick blow to the Gabriel's ribs with the blunt side of the scythe, swinging it as if it was a hammer.

ooc- YAY YOU'RE BACK! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN???? Kidding missed you.
bic- Gabriel felt a small smile of satisfaction on his face, but a moment later Samael sprang to his feet, nimble as a cat, and lashed out once more. The flat to te scythe caught him in the ribs and the vampyre tumbled back, rolling once before regaining his legs. He could tell Sam was fighting with himself, and it was strange to watch. Gabriel took a shot that, if thrown off badly, would result in serious injury. He launched himself at Samael, hoping to throw him off enough that the vampyre could escape.
(ooc-'scuse the powerplay)
It didn't go fantastically. The edge of the scythe grazed his cheek, and Samael hit him hard with the flat, right in the chest. He let loose a string of swearwords, and winded, dropped onto his knees to regain his breath. If Samael was going to kill him, now would be the time.
"You might need what I have to tell you," Gabriel whispered. It was a longshot, but there weren't that many people randomly running around with weapons. Maybe, maybe, he could get him to let him live on condition.
ooc- Scuse my awfullness. I type a fourteen page story today and it effeciently drained all my creativity

(( -Hugs- I know... I've been procrastinating D: bad Fenrir! Bad! ))
The scythe hit the ground with a thud after the blow that sent the vampyre reeling back. Hell. He could only barely lift the silver weapon from the ground anymore. How much longer was this fight going to last? The undead were tireless; it was to be expected that they wanted to make this last long. Samael knew he better ended this quickly, if he wanted to live, that is. Looking not unlike the Grim Reaper, he approached the revenant breathing noisily and dragging the scythe alongside him to deliver the final blow. Those darkened eyes held the message clear; no, he wouldn't be listening to any "but before I die" speeches, a vampyre's words were worth a rat's ass to him.
Samael avoided the two bodies as he rushed towards the fallen Gabriel, accidentally stepping in the poodle of the werewolf's blood as he did so. It wasn't on his plans to waste this precious opportunity to end the vampyre's 'life,' but right when he was raising the double scythe with the strength he had left, he heard this sickening sound from behind him...
Sh**!
He could recognize that sound clearly-- having taken too much time, the female vampyre's wounds were regenerating, and she was standing again. Unfortunately for her, having just recovered consciousness, she wasn't quick enough to avoid the spinning blades as Samael whirled around and sliced her across the stomach. A smarter vampyre would've waited until they had completely recovered, instead of risking to live a few seconds, but all that blood was driving her insane.
She fell, and he maintained her pinned against the ground by keeping the rounded weight that supported the scythe's blade on her just-healed back. To ensure she couldn't escape, he leaned his full body weight on the scythe, and without letting go, Samael turned his head towards the newborn vampyre. Dammit! He was probably already on his feet and preparing to leave by now! But Death Blade happened to have one last dirty old trick up his sleeve...
Holding the scythe with only one hand, trusting on his full body weight leaned on it to keep the female vampyre down, Samael took out the unloaded gun with his free hand and pointed it at Gabriel. Yes, he was totally aware of what he was doing was absurdly dangerous, but, did you have a better idea? Ridiculously stubborn, he'd fight to his last breath to keep these abominations away from Mournshire.
"Speak your information, vampyre..." he took a deep breath, "clearly and slowly now... or I will leave you like that werewolf..." He was so exhausted he almost couldn't speak, and yet his threats came out in a sufficiently believable manner. Since he had been pinned down by that werewolf back then, Gabriel had no way of knowing Samael hadn't reloaded the gun at some point while he wasn't looking. He just wanted to buy himself some time here, so he could come up with a better plan. As for now, all he could think of, should everything go wrong, was to let go of the female vampyre.
After all... she did seem to be quite determined in killing the newborn, you know.

ooc- Computer is being a tard the last few days, I'll come in when I can and postage. HAPPY LABOR DAY EVERYONE!!!
bic-
The vampyress was regenerating, but not as fast as some could. Tucker had regenerated in seconds when Gabriel had lashed out at him, barely fazing him at all. Gabriel watched Samael pin the she-vampyre to the ground with the blade of his scythe.
Then, Samael was pointing a gun at him, and Gabriel's breathing stopped for a moment. So. He wanted the information. Well, Gabriel might as well give it to him.
"I know for a fact that a good deal of Tucker's lycans hate him, but because they're blood bound, they can't do anything else. If they were bound to someone else...." He paused. "Like that rogue I've been hearing about...they could do some damage. I know the best way into the canyon without being seen, and those walls are absolutely riddled with passages. I know them all."
"There is nothing keeping you from killing me now that you know it. But the fact is, I'll be more help to you alive..I just want to get my sister out before Tucker does to her what he did to me."
Gabriel tensed slightly, unsure of what he could do now.

(( I am here! -Struggles to keep own site alive and to stay active at all the 264297107423423 others she's in- Lawl. XD ))
Oh yes, there was something keeping from killing Gabriel. A small, little detail, but a very important one.
Grrr... and there was that darn werewolf rogue again, the "only in history that was not bound to a vampyre lord;" the vampyre had to come and tell him that she was practically the only hope for defeating Tucker, as is Samael hadn't been tormented enough after losing a fight to her, seeing her face in every shadow and hearing her voice each time the wind howled!
He had asked just to buy himself some time, but it was clear no amount of time could fix this. Samael was tired as he had not been in a long while, and pointing a gun that was not loaded to one vampyre while pinning another to the ground, well, you could bet on that he would not manage to keep this up for too long.
Some blood seeped from the gash in his arm, soaking the long sleeve of his jacket, and undoubtedly, the vampyress had already caught the scent of his blood. She struggled with more strength than ever, clearly not afraid to hurt herself anymore. Still, Death Blade pretended that nothing was wrong and acted as if he could stay there, pinning that vampyre down with that scythe for the rest of the night.
"Alive?" Sam raised a brow. Vampyres clearly weren't alive, they were blood-drinking revenants, corpses re-animated by the darkest magic. The man looked as if he was about to add something to that, but he was fully aware of that he was running out of time. If the female escaped, he would not be able to kill her in his current state; alas, she would have been a million times more dangerous than this newborn. He had to kill one and let go of the other-- or risk to have both of them escaping.
"Fine then. You may leave-- but first listen to my warning: the day I hear you attacked a human, you are history." That said and he lowered the pistol slowly, but acted as if he was going to shoot in case the vampyre wanted to try anything.
It felt as a defeat almost as shameful as in the fight with Willow, but Samael didn't quite have a choice there. In his mind he couldn't help but wonder what would the Gabriel think; maybe that Samael refused to kill anyone with a mind that was still human? Maybe that he did believe him when he said that "he wasn't like the others," even though he really didn't? Ah, whatever. Samael's poisonous gaze just seemed to say: "hurry up and get the hell out of my sight, or you will regret it."
